Pancreas Transplant

One-year survival rates are greater than 96 percent.

Pancreas transplants may be considered for people with Type 1 diabetes and they are often performed in combination with a kidney transplant. Patients with pancreatic cancer are not eligible for a transplant as, typically, the cancer has already spread to others organ before it is diagnosed. INTEGRIS’ Dr. Vivek Kohli talks a little more about who is a transplant candidate and the procedure itself. To learn more, call 800-991-3349.
